My friends Molly & Chris had a beautiful baby girl last year. I can't believe that this was the first time I met her - but, she did not fail to steal my heart! Such a cutie with a lot of personality. Thanks for having me spend the morning with you guys!

I love these two. I find Maggie hilarious, and Jack just the sweetest little guy ever. His mom claims he has a little crush on me because I am a librarian. He thinks I am cool. I hope he continues to think librarians are cool for a really long time!

I just adore this little girl. Every single time I have taken photos of her she has absolutely giggled the entire time. And, such a trooper! I think it was 30 degrees when we took these pictures.

When Ainsley was born we took photos of her constantly (maybe obsessively). Casey and I would pose her, arrange her and dress her up daily for photo shoots. At first my brother ignored us but then later got into the photo shoots as well.

Being the second child myself, I swore when Eva was born that she would have just as many photos as her big sister Ainsley does in her baby book. And now the poor thing is 2 months old and probably only has a handful of photos taken by me. And, most of them look like this.

We produced a "cheeeesssseee" screaming model/monster by having Ainsley pose for us constantly. And now poor Eva has a hard time getting a photo all to herself. I promise to be a better Thea!

My college roommate and her husband (also a friend from college) had a baby. It felt strange when they got married (were we actually growing up?) and now feels even stranger that they have a little baby boy. But they are both so insanely in love with him that every time I have been with their new little family it has just felt normal.

Here is to seeing your little guy grow into the wonderful young man I know he will be. Because together you two will provide him with the best life possible.

PS - I think he looks like an athlete. Maybe a basketball star?

Julians came into the world a little earlier then his parents expected, and he has been making his presence known since he arrived! His parents, Matt and Lija, are super cool so I took a little liberty with some of the post-processing on these photos. Don't worry...I will also gave them the originals. :)

I don't do engagement pictures, and I do not even know if you could call this an engagement picture? But, one of my best friends Cori had me take some photos of her and her fiance Avery. I just love this one. And, he even perfected the non face smushing kiss photo! Way to go Avery!

We made a trip to the park this weekend to take some photos before Baby Bounds #2 arrives, but Ainsley wasn't too interested in pictures. She was more interested in 1) sledding and 2) having someone hold her so she didn't have to walk in the snow!

And, a good one of all three of them (four if you count Baby Bounds #2). A refused to smile (she was intent on playing with some bracelets) but I love her look.

I love taking pictures of babies. They are so cute and cuddly and they let you pose them however you want...as long as you can get them to go to sleep. This little guy was fighting sleep the entire time, but we did manage to get him to take a few little naps.

Thanks for making the trip to Lancaster! You two are the most laid-back new parents I have met in a long time!!!

Things have been busy since I got back from my trip! I wanted to post a few recent photos...

First, C&J have done it again. Baby Bounds #2 is due in January (I can't remember the exact date...does that make me a bad aunt?) :)

Also...K&A made the cutest little itty bitty baby I think I have ever seen (that I am not related to of course).

I just love him and can't wait to dress him up in the bunny costume I got him. He just needs to grow into it! (His grandfather compared me to the aunt from Christmas Story that makes the bunny costume for Ralphie. I SWEAR it is much cuter.)

And finally the absolutely adorable Showvaker's had me come for a visit to meet their new little one and take a couple of family shots. Love them!

Last week was my first attempt at taking senior photos. I could not have asked for a better model! I had a great time talking with Adrienne and getting to know her. She was definitely much better at conversation (and listening to direction) then my normal subjects! Thanks Adrienne!

I agreed to do a family shoot the other weekend with the fabulous Sanger family. Eight adults and five kids (yep, that is 13 total people). They could not have been nicer or more accommodating and we had a great time. I was shocked at how easy it went because of their willingness to smile and just have fun. Thanks guys!

Miss Sophia had a rough start in life. She was born with two of her little arteries switched and was whisked off to Hershey Medical Center for an emergency surgery. Thanks to the fabulous staff of doctors and nurses there she is doing great! Cute as a button and as adorable as her brother and sister.

Traditions

My good friend Heather came to town the other weekend for her baby shower. Heather and I met when we taught together in Virginia and soon realized we had some very strange (and good!) connections that make me know we will be friends forever. Here is a peek at some of the goodies - they were delicious!!!

Her husband and soon to be baby-daddy is Indian and during our little maternity shoot we tried to take a picture in the style of most Indian wedding photos (they also have a picture in this style from their wedding two years ago!). The idea is that nobody usually smiles in the pictures! He was able to keep a straight face, but the rest of us...not so much!

My good friends Mike and Kristin got married this weekend. As part of their wedding present, I took photographs of Kristin and the girls while they were getting ready. We had so much fun! And, Kristin was such a cool and collected bride. The day was wonderful - and Kristin couldn't have been more excited to become Mrs. Bracken. :)
